Cuatro veedurías para la comunidad GLBTI se establecerán en el Ecuador
Luego del encuentro de diagnóstico, representantes de varias organizaciones orientadas a los derechos de estos colectivos sociales decidieron crear observatorios para que hagan seguimiento a los temas relacionados al acceso a la salud, educación, trabajo

La Defensoría del Pueblo del Ecuador (DPE) y la Asociación Silueta X organizaron el Taller Nacional de Diagnóstico GLBTI, que se realizó en el auditorio de la entidad, ubicado en el centro de Guayaquil.
El objetivo del encuentro fue obtener conclusiones y planes por seguir a favor de los derechos de los gays, lesbianas, bisexuales, transexuales e intersex (GLBTI) a nivel nacional, en base al análisis de la Constitución ecuatoriana y de las leyes actuales que están vigentes con respecto a 4 ejes: salud, trabajo, educación y justicia.
Al final las cuatro mesas de trabajo, conformadas por los representantes de organizaciones de siete provincias, expusieron sus conclusiones. El grupo que trató el tema de salud analizó con el Ministerio de Salud el tema de los servicios de salud que reciben actualmente los integrantes de esta comunidad. “Los doctores deberían ser capacitados para brindar un mejor trato a los GLBTI en los centros y subcentros de salud”, dijo Diane Rodríguez, titular de la Asociación Silueta X.
En la mesa que trató el tema de “Trabajo”, los integrantes concluyeron que los GLBTI también deberían ser considerados como parte de la interculturalidad del país, por lo tanto deberían ser incluidos en los concursos gubernamentales que se realizan para financiar los proyectos culturales.
“Así como la ministra Carina Vance se ha pronunciado en varias ocasiones sobre temas relacionados con los homosexuales, así debería ser el caso de Gloria Vidal, ministra de Educación”, indicó Diana Maldonado, de la Asociación Mujer y Mujer.
El último grupo que expuso fue el de Justicia y su intervención fue extensa. Como un punto a favor, destacó la Ley de Registro Civil que ya se encuentra en debate en la Asamblea Nacional.
“Queremos pedir a los ministros y a las autoridades encargadas que se trabaje con los funcionarios públicos para que ya no les nieguen sus derechos GLBTI y pongan por encima de la Carta Magna sus estereotipos y pensamientos religiosos”, manifestó Marco Pacheco, representante de las organizaciones GLBTI de Imbabura.
Entre todos los asistentes acordaron crear veedurías relacionadas a cada uno de los ejes analizados durante este evento, para después de seis u ocho meses, aproximadamente, proponer una nueva reunión, a manera de Observatorio GLBTI para vigilar que los derechos del colectivo sean respetados.
También acordaron crear un manifiesto que será dirigido a los ministros para que conozcan las resoluciones.
“QUEREMOS ACABAR CON LA DISCRIMINACIÓN”
“Lo importante de este taller es luchar contra la exclusión social que existe para los grupos GLBTI y queríamos conseguir algo concreto”, manifestó Diane Rodríguez, titular de la Asociación Silueta X, entidad anfitriona del Taller Nacional de Diagnóstico GLBTI.
Rodríguez destacó que en las mesas de trabajo se determinó la creación de veedurías, ya que estas no pueden enfocarse en temas amplios. “A veces quisiéramos medir y vigilar todo, pero no podemos cubrirlos, entonces nos enfocamos en cuatro puntos importantes”, dijo la activista trans.
Según Rodríguez, luego del proceso de veedurías se convocará solo a nivel provincial para por medio del CPCCS legalizarlas e instaurarlas. Después la comunidad formalizará los observatorios GLBTI que inicialmente había creado uno el año pasado en la capital, pero que aún no se había articulado de forma adecuada.
“Hay muchas tareas por hacer. Esta es la primera reunión nacional que se realiza para tratar estos temas. Por eso, en la próxima reunión se convocará a los ministros relacionados a esas áreas”, puntualizó la presidenta de Silueta X.

The Ombudsman of Ecuador (DPE) and Silueta X Association organized the National Workshop GLBTI Diagnosis, held in the auditorium of the entity, located in downtown Guayaquil.
The aim of the meeting was to draw conclusions and plans to follow for the rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (GLBTI) at national level, based on the analysis of the Ecuadorian Constitution and current laws that are in force with respect to 4 axes: health, work, education and justice.
At the end of the four working groups, made up of representatives of organizations from seven provinces presented their conclusions. The group addressed the health issue discussed with the Ministry of Health the issue of health services currently receiving the members of this community. «Doctors should be trained to provide a better deal in the GLBTI health centers and sub-centers,» said Diane Rodriguez, head of the Association Silueta X.
In the table that addressed the subject of «Work», the members concluded that GLBTI should also be considered as part of multiculturalism in the country, so they should be included in the government contests that are made to fund cultural projects.

«We want to ask the ministers and authorities to work with public officials to no longer denied their GLBTI rights, and top of the Magna Carta their stereotypes and religious thoughts,» said Marco Pacheco, representative GLBTI organizations Imbabura.
Among all participants agreed to create oversight committees related to each of the axes analyzed during this event, for after six or eight months or so, to propose a new meeting, as a GLBTI Observatory to monitor the collective rights are respected.
They also agreed to create a show that will be directed to the ministers to know the resolutions.
«WE WANT TO END DISCRIMINATION»
«The importance of this workshop is to combat social exclusion that exists for GLBTI groups and wanted to get something concrete,» said Diane Rodriguez, head of the X Silhouette Association, host organization of the National Workshop on Diagnosis GLBTI.
Rodriguez said that in the working groups identified the creation of oversight committees because they can not focus on broad themes. «Sometimes we want to measure and monitor everything, but we can not cover them, then we focus on four important points,» said transgender activist.
