Trans quieren que los escuchen en la Asamblea
La propuesta de “Mi género en la cédula” por parte de colectivos transexuales continúa, así lo detallo Diane Rodríguez, activista.
Precisamente la tarde de hoy llegarán a la Asamblea Nacional para pedir que se retome la reforma a la Ley del Registro Civil.
“En la cédula no puede constar mi sexo, porque eso es algo íntimo que solo debe estar en la partida de nacimiento, bien guardado. Pero en la cédula, que es un documento público debe constar el género, es decir como me identifico”, explicó Diane.
Para Rodríguez, la campaña de “Mi género en la cédula” busca sensibilizar un derecho que los colectivos transexuales necesitan palpar para evitar más discriminaciones.
“Existen algunas confusiones, la gente dice que si en la cédula consta el género se va a facilitar el matrimonio igualitario y no es así, porque en la partida de nacimiento consta si nacimos hombres o mujeres. Este es otro tema”, sostuvo la trans. (MBM)
