GLBTI ven problemas en acceso a la justicia.
A través de 18 casos que reflejarían el maltrato en los hogares, acoso, falta de atención en salud y educación, la Asociación Silueta X busca demostrar los problemas de acceso a la justicia que afrontan los integrantes de la comunidad GLBTI (Gays, Lesbianas, Bisexuales, Transexuales e Intersexo).
Los testimonios fueron recogidos en la investigación que realizaron para el ‘Proyecto de vigilancia ciudadana GLBTI en justicia y derechos humanos en Ecuador’, que la agrupación comenzó en junio pasado.
Los activistas procesaron 84 denuncias presentadas ante la Fiscalía del Guayas, la Defensoría del Pueblo y las comisarías; pero finalmente lograron hacer el seguimiento a 18.
Silvia Buendía, abogada de este grupo, indicó que los casos están reseñados en un libro, el cual será repartido entre los administradores de justicia del país, para que conozcan su problemática y se trate con igualdad a los GLBTI.
Diane Rodríguez, presidenta de Silueta X, dijo que el trabajo está dirigido a la comunidad GLBTI y a la sociedad. El objetivo, indicó, es exponer el discrimen que sufren.
Según Rodríguez, uno de los problemas detectados en la investigación fue la poca información que existe para que un afectado ponga una denuncia en la Fiscalía. Explicó que las víctimas tienen que buscar sus expedientes para ver cómo avanza legalmente el proceso.

Through 18 cases that reflect abuse in homes, harassment, lack of healthcare and education, Silueta X Association seeks to demonstrate the problems of access to justice faced by members of the GLBTI community (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual , Trans and Intersex).
The testimonies were collected in the research done for ‘Project GLBTI citizens watch in justice and human rights in Ecuador’, the group began last June.
Activists processed 84 complaints to the Prosecutor of the Guayas, the Ombudsman and the police, but finally managed to track 18.
Silvia Buendía, a lawyer for the group, said that cases are reviewed in a book, which will be distributed among the administrators of justice in the country, to know their problems and concerned with the GLBTI equality.
Diane Rodriguez, president of Silueta X, said the work is directed to the GLBTI community and society. The goal, he said, is to expose the discrimination they suffer.
According to Rodriguez, one of the problems identified in the research was the lack of information that exists for an affected place a complaint with the Prosecutor. He explained that the victims have to seek their records to see how legally progresses.
