Un informe revela bajo acceso de los GLBTI a la justicia.
18 casos de discriminación son analizados en el informe ‘Acceso a la Justicia y Derechos Humanos de los GLBTI del Ecuador’. El reporte, presentado la mañana de este viernes 29 de noviembre por la Asociación Silueta X, recoge testimonios de gays, lesbianas, bisexuales, transexuales e intersexos, que han sido víctimas de odio y discriminación en atención en salud, laboral, educación y cuyas denuncias se estancaron. La activista Silvia Buendía, quien trabajó el marco jurídico del informe, mostró como antecedentes algunas cifras del Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas y Censos (INEC). El estudio presentado este año refleja que 38% de los 2 085 encuestados aseguró haber sido agredido por agentes del orden. Mientras que el 46% fue detenido por demostraciones de afecto en sitios públicos. Por su parte Diane Rodríguez, presidenta de Silueta X, recalcó que el objetivo de este informe fue identificar casos, analizar procesos y examinar las acciones de funcionarios públicos, privados y operadores de justicia. “Hay casos en los que se vulneran los derechos de alguien y no se encuentran en la Fiscalía”. En total recogieron 159 casos en su mayoría por denuncias públicas en medios de comunicación. Esto desde julio pasado. Y justamente, para hacer conciencia sobre la inclusión de la comunidad GLBTI, fueron invitados a la presentación representantes de la Fiscalía y jueces. Pero muy pocos asistieron. La Asociación Silueta X distribuirá el informe en las distintas dependencias de justicia.
