Diane Rodríguez, de la Asociación Silueta X, adelantó que de lo contrario se analizarán otras alternativas, como acudir al Consejo Nacional Electoral, ya que Nebot es candidato a la reelección en Guayaquil.

Silueta X, el Observatorio GLBTI y las fundaciones Equidad y Diverso Ecuador firmaron un manifiesto de rechazo a la “homofobia y desprecio” que, según ellos, Nebot profirió al expresarse sobre los jóvenes que montaron una parodia contra él, el 5 de diciembre.

El funcionario dijo: “Todos estos que se disfrazaron de hombres salieron posiblemente de algún clóset de la Prefectura, son empleados de la Prefectura”.

Fernando Pineda, de Diverso Ecuador, rechazó que la orientación sexual de alguien sea usada como un insulto.

Silvia Buendía, de la misma fundación, acotó que el Consejo Electoral debería recordarle “al candidato Nebot”, que debe omitir criterios que puedan ser considerados discriminatorios.

Los activistas informaron que el manifiesto circula en las redes sociales desde el pasado 11 de diciembre, y que, por tanto, Nebot debería conocerlo.
