15 asesinatos de GLBTI investigará el Gobierno.

El Gobierno prevé implementar algunas medidas a favor de la comunidad GLBTI (Gays, Lesbianas, Bisexuales, Transexuales e Intersexo), y en aras de garantizar sus derechos.

La decisión se tomó luego de la reunión del presidente Rafael Correa con un colectivo de esa minoría sexual. Él anunció en su último enlace las “conclusiones” de la cita: crear una comisión gubernamental, promocionar ciertos derechos constitucionales, capacitar a los servidores públicos, implementar procedimientos en instituciones públicas y revisar las propuestas de leyes del sector.

Correa explicó que la comisión deberá investigar unos asesinatos no resueltos denunciados por la Asociación Silueta X. Su presidenta, Diane Rodríguez, le comentó ese día sobre los hallazgos del informe ‘Acceso a la Justicia y Derechos Humanos de los GLBTI del Ecuador’, elaborado por ellos, basado en encuestas y procesos que reposan en la Fiscalía, Defensoría del Pueblo y comisarías.

Correa refirió en la sabatina que habría 15 asesinatos impunes, según dicho documento.

El presidente dijo que se formará a los funcionarios para que “no discriminen” a esta población y sepan brindarle la atención que necesita, y que se establecerán procedimientos en las entidades estatales para que los GLBTI puedan acceder a ciertos derechos.

Rodríguez comentó que el mandatario escuchó ejemplos de cómo no se cumplen ciertos derechos consagrados en la Constitución. Y citó la unión libre, pues la mayoría de notarías no quieren registrarlas, y los sistemas del Registro Civil y del Seguro Social, en cambio, no pueden ingresarlas.

La activista aseguró que esas instituciones alegan falta de normativas.
