Los GLBTI -gays, lesbianas, bisexuales, transexuales e intersexuales- no acceden a derechos plenos a pesar de que están garantizados legalmente en Ecuador. Ni siquiera los más básicos, como el acceso a la salud, educación, empleo, justicia, ciudadanía, etc. Sobre todo de aquellos GLBTI que rompen lo normado y se revelan “visiblemente” ante estas estructuras. La ley está, pero no se cumple.

Es así como se da la primera reunión entre los GLBTI y el Gobierno. En toda la vida Republicana del Ecuador  nunca sucedió una circunstancia similar. Es histórica no solo por eso, sino por la predisposición del Primer Mandatario de escuchar y  de adquirir compromisos. Este paso promete no solo más reuniones de coordinación, sino el cumplimiento y abordaje de otras temáticas.

Una hora programada para el encuentro no fue suficiente para saciar en toda su complejidad las problemáticas, ni siquiera las más básicas, al punto que se prolongó -debido a la apertura del PrimerMandatario- por  cerca de dos horas.

Quedaron muchos temas pendientes de socializar, pero se socializaron y defendieron los más importantes.

Este encuentro no solo es importantepara las poblaciones GLBTI, sino para los ecuatorianos.Para quienes no hayan considerado importantes: la reunión, los actores y los compromisos adquiridos, la acción más sincera sería ir a tocar la puerta de las familias de los GLBTI asesinados y decirles: “Lo importante es lo que yo piense, no los compromisos adquiridos”. El problema no es ser disidente, sino ser disidente racionalmente.

Quienes estuvieron defendieron los temas vehementemente, como nadie los hubiese defendido, que dio como resultado no solo la variedad de compromisos adquiridos por parte del Primer Mandatario -quien se pronunció sobre los mismos inmediatamente- sino la satisfacción de un deber cumplido.

Este encuentro no solo es importante para las poblaciones GLBTI, sino también para los ecuatorianos en general.

Ocurrió en un mes en el que no solo se conmemoraron los derechos humanos universalmente declarados, sino también en un mes en el que se recordó la Navidad, un tiempo de paz, amor y prosperidad. Esta reunión se presenta ante la ideología de quienes estigmatizan, discriminan y violan a los GLBTI, haciendo que se encuentren dos moralidades: el rechazo o el amor.

Dentro de pocos meses empezaremos a ver los resultados  y dependerá de la ciudadanía en general dar el seguimiento pertinente a los compromisos adquiridos.

Este es uno de los mejores momentos para los GLBTI. Un momento que ha permitido llevar un muestreo de la realidad y de primera mano, al Gobierno. Un momento de demostrarles que las estructuras fundamentalistas y/o culturales no han permitido el ejercicio y ejecutabilidad de aquellos derechos consagrados.

Un momento de bien, en el que existe un compromiso por parte del Primer Mandatario por de-construirse el mismo y de-construir el Ecuador.

Pero sobre todo  es “el momento feliz y eufórico” por la materialización de nuestros derechos GLBTI.

The historic meeting GLBTI

The GLBTI – gay, lesbian, bisexual , transgender and intersex -no access despite full rights that are guaranteed by law in Ecuador . Even the most basic , such as access to health , education , employment, justice , citizenship, etc. . GLBTI especially those that break the rules set forth and reveal » visible » to these structures. The law is , but not enforced.

Thus it gives the first meeting between the LGBTI and the Government . Throughout the life of Ecuador Republican never happened a similar circumstance . It is historic not only that , but by the willingness of the Chief Executive to listen and purchase commitments. This step not only promises more coordination meetings, but compliance and addressing other issues.

A scheduled time for the meeting was not enough to satisfy the full complexity of even the most basic point – that lasted problematic due to the opening of PrimerMandatario – for about two hours.

Socializing left many unresolved issues , but they socialized and defended the most important.

This meeting is not just importantfor the GLBTI populations , but for those who have not considered ecuatorianos.Para important : the meeting , the actors and commitments , the sincerest action would go touch the door of the families of the killed and GLBTI say : «What matters is what I think , no commitments .» The problem is not a dissident, but be dissident rationally.

Those who were vehemently defended subjects, as no one had defended , resulting in not only the variety of commitments made by the Chief Executive , who spoke on them immediately , but the satisfaction of accomplishment.

This meeting is not only important for GLBTI populations but also for Ecuadorians in general.

It happened in a month in which no single universally declared human rights were commemorated , but also a month that Christmas, a time of peace , love and prosperity were recalled . This meeting is presented to the ideology of those who stigmatize , discriminate and violate the GLBTI , making two moralities are : rejection or love.

In a few months we will begin to see results and depend on the general public to follow the relevant commitments.

This is one of the best times for GLBTI . A time out has allowed sampling of reality firsthand the Government . A time to show that fundamentalist and / or cultural structures are not permitted to conduct and enforceability of those rights enshrined .

A good time , in which there is a commitment from the Chief Executive by the same de- constructed and de- construct Ecuador .

But mostly it is » happy and euphoric moment » for the realization of our rights GLBTI .
