GLBTI piden que se forme comisión para investigar asesinatos.

La comunidad GLBTI (Gays, Lesbianas, Bisexuales, Transexuales e Intersexo) espera que este mes se conforme la comisión gubernamental que el mandatario Rafael Correa ofreció para investigar unos asesinatos no resueltos. Así lo aseguró la presidenta de la asociación Silueta X, Diane Rodríguez, quien el pasado 13 de diciembre mantuvo una reunión con Correa, en la cual se acordaron algunos puntos, entre esos, crear la comisión. Correa informó que dicha instancia deberá dar seguimiento a 15 asesinatos que alcanzarían a integrantes GLBTI para que “no queden en la impunidad”, dijo en la sabatina del pasado 14 de diciembre. Rodríguez explicó que el presidente aludía a los resultados del informe ‘Acceso a la Justicia y Derechos Humanos de los GLBTI del Ecuador’, que se le entregó en la reunión del 13. Silueta X elaboró el documento con datos recogidos durante el periodo 2010-2013 en los medios de comunicación, Fiscalía, comisarías y Defensoría del Pueblo. El mes pasado algunos representantes del sector GLBTI se reunieron con Correa en Guayaquil, y llegaron a varios acuerdos verbales. Rodríguez dijo que esperaba sean formalizados este mes, y por eso anunció que enviará una carta al presidente “máximo el 6 de enero”. Correa informó las medidas que su gobierno tomará en favor de dicha comunidad para hacer cumplir sus derechos. Anunció que se creará la comisión gubernamental, se divulgará una campaña informativa en los medios de comunicación, se capacitará a los servidores públicos en atención a ese sector, se implementarán procedimientos en las instituciones públicas y se revisarán ciertos pedidos de leyes.
