Previo a ingresar a la cita, la presidente de Silueta X, dijo que entre los temas que se abordarían estaban legalizar en el caso de un compañero intersexual el que sus nombre no reflejan su género actual y segundo su sexo y otro caso de un transexual masculino que también solicitó cambio de nombres.
Rodríguez también adelantó que en la reunión mantenida vía skype se referiría a la declaración N° 0174-DIGERCIC-DNAJ-2014 que legaliza la unión de hecho.
“Presentaré un pliego de solicitudes por parte del Observatorio GLBTI, Silueta X, Yerbabuena, y otras que participaron en el almuerzo mantenido con el presidente Rafael Correa, que piden que el Registro Civil emita un comunicado en el que se manifiesta que la unión de hecho es un derecho civil. Esto debido a que la campaña opositora del gobierno, al que prefirió no dar nombre, ha manifestado en la prensa nacional e internacional que no es un estado civil”.
También dijo que solicitan que el registro civil rechace cual tergiversación de la ley y la Constitución e inclusive el misma resolución 0174 emitida.
