Diane Rodríguez, activista de los derechos igualitarios, anunció que su novio está esperando un bebé.

Lo hizo a través de las redes sociales. “Voy a ser mamá, mi novio Fernando Machado está embarazado de mí!”, indicó Rodríguez.

“Entiendo que esto va a motivar a que existan opiniones a favor y en contra en Ecuador, como en Iberoamérica. Pero como activista y mujer transexual comprometida con un proceso profundo de transformaciones sociales, considero que la opinión pública debe conocer esta maravillosa noticia”, dijo la presidenta de la asociación GLBTI Silueta X.
Rodríguez a través de la asociación Silueta X ha defendido los derechos de la comunidad GLBTI (Gays, Lesbianas, Bisexuales, Transgénero, Transexuales, Travestis e Intersex).
La activista lleva legalmente nombre femenino, aunque en su cédula de identidad tiene la letra M, que indica su sexo masculino, de nacimiento.
Su pareja, aunque tiene nombre masculino en sus documentos de identidad, nació con sexo femenino.
