Correa registra uniones de hecho y aplaude luchas de activistas como Diane Rodríguez

La unión de hecho entre personas del mismo sexo, era un proceso que el registro civil no permitía legalizar hasta el 22 de se agosto del 2014 en Ecuador. Dicha situación fue en el Almuerzo realizado con el presidente Rafael Correa delgado, quien dispuso a su gabinete el respeto al articulo 68 de la constitución de la República del Ecuador. 

Es así que La Dirección General del Registro Civil a través de la Resolución N# 0174-DIGERCIC-DNAJ-2014 promulgó lo siguiente: crear el registro especial de Uniones de Hecho que permita ingresar los hechos de esa naturaleza al Sistema Nacional del Registro Civil, identificación y Cedulación. Esto entrará en vigencia el 15 de septiembre del 2014. 

El Presidente de Ecuador Rafael Correa, aprovechó también para mostrar sus sentimientos de admiración de las luchas por los derechos de la comunidad LGBTI, sobre todo de activistas como Diane Rodríguez.
