Acuerdo entre Ejecutivo y grupos GLBTI se concretó el 18 de agosto.
La resolución de la Dirección Nacional del Registro Civil (DNRC) del 22 de agosto de 2014 ordenó derogar la prohibición de ingresar la unión de hecho como un estado civil, crear un registro especial para esta condición, y desde el próximo 15 de septiembre cualquier persona podrá registrar la unión de hecho.
La decisión la anunció ayer el presidente de la República, Rafael Correa, en su enlace sabatino 387 desde la parroquia Llano Grande, y afirmó que el grupo Glbti (gays, lesbianas, bisexuales, transexuales e intersexuales) tiene el derecho constitucional a registrar en su cédula de identidad una unión de hecho, y en caso de ser negado se “tomarán cartas en el asunto”, advirtió el mandatario.
Insistió que la unión en este grupo poblacional está establecida como un derecho constitucional. Este avance en materia de derechos se concretó a partir de los diálogos con las organizaciones Glbti el pasado 18 de agosto, donde además el Régimen se comprometió a analizar una posible inclusión de identidad de género en el documento de identidad.
En la cita de trabajo del lunes pasado en el Palacio de Gobierno, la comunidad Glbti también pidió al mandatario el cumplimiento de sus derechos laborales. Rashell Erazo, presidenta de la Asociación Alfil, señaló que las notarías tampoco les permiten legalizar su condición.
Según Erazo, Correa se comprometió a investigar la muerte de 20 miembros de grupos Glbti en 2013 y cuatro en este año. Cada seis meses habrá un encuentro similar para evaluar el avance de los ofrecimientos y no se descarta ser incluidos en el proyecto Miprimer empleo.
Correa dejó abierta la posibilidad de enviar a la Asamblea Nacional un proyecto de Ley que sancione la discriminación sexual. (SC)
