La unión de hecho no se registra en Manabí.

El registro de las uniones de hecho inició ayer pero solamente se lo puede hacer en Guayaquil, Quito y Cuenca.

En Manabí todavía no puede realizarse. El Registro Civil informó que las demás provincia se incorporarán gradualmente al proceso.
En Guayaquil, la pareja conformada por la transexual Diane Rodríguez, presidenta de la Asociación Silueta X, y Nicolás Guamanquispe madrugó para obtener un turno y se convirtió en la primera en registrar su unión de hecho.
Asimismo, otras parejas heterosexuales y del colectivo GLBTI (gays, lesbianas, bisexuales, transexuales e intersexuales) acudieron al Registro Civil.
Diana Maldonado y Maribel Serrano, en unión estable y monogámica desde el 2009, obtuvieron el fallo de una jueza el 7 de septiembre del 2012 para que se reconozca su unión de hecho. Desde ayer finalmente consta en sus documentos de identidad.
“Se puede considerar que es un logro, estamos contentas, felices (…) Vemos que se está empezando a materializar lo que dice la Constitución (…), equiparando la unión de hecho con el matrimonio a lo que es un estado civil”, sostuvo Maldonado.
En Quito, la pareja GLBTI compuesta por Alex Guayasamín y Janeth López, se convirtió en la primera en hacer el registro.
Los extranjeros también pueden acceder a este servicio. Para ello deben ser residentes y tener el empadronamiento. Ese fue el caso de las inglesas Nicola Rothon y Helen Bicknell, quienes también realizaron el trámite en la capital.
PROTESTAS. Pero mientras las parejas se inscribían, a las afueras del Registro Civil en Guayaquil se desarrollaba una protesta en contra del proceso.
“Va en contra de la ley de Dios”, indicó Xavier Zúñiga, representante cristiano.
Otro grupo que defendía la unión de hecho gay señaló que se trataba de un derecho de todos los ecuatorianos.
REQUISITOS. La pareja interesada en inscribir su unión de hecho deberá presentar las cédulas, el acta notarial o fallo judicial que solemnice la unión, el comprobante de pago de tarifa, entre otros.
El director jurídico del Registro Civil de Guayaquil, Juan Pablo Álava, informó que el gasto por pareja es de $ 83, entre pago de tarifa, nuevas cédulas y otros.
