Lesbo X
Community, visibility, wellbeing and rights for lesbian women.
Lesbo X is a community initiative of Asociación Silueta X created to connect lesbian women, share useful information, strengthen peer networks and provide accessible pathways to opportunities, wellbeing resources and rights protection.
You do not need to arrive with a complaint or in crisis. You can simply be looking for community, new connections, information, activities or a space to engage with other lesbian women.
The WhatsApp community currently operates primarily in Spanish.
One page · Two entry points
For lesbian women — and for those who want to strengthen lesbian-led community infrastructure
If you are a lesbian woman
There is a community here

See how community becomes a pathway to protection and participation
Lesbo X is part of a broader Silueta X model connecting accessible community spaces with rights information, mental-health resources, protection from violence, legal pathways, economic opportunities and participation.
Explore the model →Specific visibility matters
Lesbian women can become invisible in more than one space at once.
Mainstream programs for women may overlook sexual orientation. Broad LGBT+ programs may, in turn, fail to fully capture gender inequality, violence against women, economic autonomy and other realities affecting lesbian women.
A dedicated community allows those experiences to remain visible — and helps connect them with more appropriate responses.
Information for the community
What Lesbo X is designed to share
Relationships should also be free from violence
A relationship between women must also be built on respect and autonomy
Violence does not automatically disappear because a relationship involves two women.
Lesbo X promotes relationships grounded in consent, autonomy, dignity and respect for boundaries, while connecting people who may be experiencing abuse with professional and institutional support when appropriate.
A simple principle
Love does not justify control, humiliation, isolation, threats or violence.
Diversity within our own community
There is no single way to be a lesbian
No appearance, personality, gender expression, age, family history, social background or relationship style determines whether someone is “lesbian enough.”
Diversity exists within our communities too.
When information is not enough
Community is connected to specialized support
Lesbo X does not replace professional services. When legal, psychological, health, migration or economic needs arise, you can access the appropriate institutional pathway directly.

For donors, funders and international partners
Funding community means making visible what broad categories can hide.
A community network helps maintain contact, identify emerging needs, share relevant information, connect people with services and recognize patterns of discrimination or exclusion that may remain invisible inside broader programs.
Why population-specific communities matter
“Women” and “LGBT+” are necessary categories — but neither one alone captures the full lesbian experience
Programs for women may overlook sexual orientation. LGBT+ programs may not adequately incorporate gender inequality, violence against women, economic autonomy or other issues that shape lesbian lives.
A dedicated community helps keep both dimensions visible.
Beyond outreach
Community contact can become evidence for better responses.
When similar concerns appear repeatedly — discrimination, violence, mental-health barriers, exclusion from employment or lack of appropriate services — community interaction can help Silueta X identify patterns that deserve deeper documentation, advocacy or programmatic action.

A WhatsApp group may look simple. The network behind it can turn one conversation into information, one experience of violence into a protection pathway, or one recurring barrier into evidence for institutional change.
