INFORME REUNIÓN GRUPO SILUETA X EN EL HOSPITAL UNIVERSITARIO DE GUAYAQUIL.

ASUNTO: INFORME REUNION GRUPO SILUETA X EN EL HOSPITAL UNIVERSITARIO DE GUAYAQUIL
De mis consideraciones;
El día 15 de julio de los corrientes en el Salón de Reuniones contiguo a la Gerencia del Hospital Universitario a las 14h00, con la finalidad de atender el requerimiento del manejo de HORMONIZACIÓN DE TRANSGÉNEROS. Previo a la reunión hubo un encuentro inicial con personal de la coordinación Zonal de Salud 8, autoridades, líderes de opinión científica del Hospital y los representantes de silueta X, en donde se conocieron las inquietudes, problemas y necesidades de manera directa.
En la misma hubo intercambio de información y se generó la posibilidad de la revisión del tema, además de un análisis de la situación tanto legal como científica, así como el compromiso de realizar un foro de intercambio de esta temática con gente perteneciente a la agrupación; la cual proporcionó un el “Protocolo de Tom Wadell”, el mismo que lo utiliza una institución privada en los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica. En la reunión sostenida el 15 de julio los Representante de la Agrupación Silueta X expresan la preocupación debido a que la personas se están AUTOMEDICANDO HORMONAS TANTO MASCULINAS COMO FEMENINAS para lograr cambios de los caracteres sexuales secundarios; además de que acuden a Centros donde se inyectan materiales como silicona y la mayoría de los casos sin supervisión Médica; considerando lo antes expuesto como un problema de Salud, ya que al no existir el control necesario existe un gran riesgo de mortalidad y morbilidad (daño hepático, daño renal, aumento en el riesgo de tromboembolismo). Por lo que puntualmente solicitan la asesoría y guía en la Hormonización por un Médico Endocrinólogo y disminuir los riesgos antes mencionados.
En el marco de lo expuesto se concluye:
1. Si es un problema de Salud Pública el que una persona se automedique con sustancias de uso delicado y de estricto control médico debido a los riesgos que representan por los efectos adversos que estos medicamentos tienen; más aún con las dosis elevadas que se requieren.

2. No existe en el país algún protocolo o guía debidamente aprobada por el Ministerio de Salud Pública para proceder con la HORMONIZACION, lo cual además sirve como sustento legal en caso de presentarse una reacción adversa.

3. La mayoría de la medicación necesaria no consta en el CUADRO NACIONAL DE MEDICAMENTOS BÁSICOS, lo cual dificultaría su prescripción, ya que no es política del Ministerio de Salud Pública el enviar a los pacientes a comprar medicina. Por lo cual Señor Director se puede considerar esta reunión como puerta de entrada a lo que la agrupación Silueta X requiere y elevar la propuesta a la Planta Central para que haya una correcta normatización para el manejo de lo requerido.

SUBJECT: SILUETA X GROUP MEETING REPORT HOSPITAL GUAYAQUIL UNIVERSITY
From my observations;

On July 15 of the current in the Meeting Room adjacent to the University Hospital Management at 14h00, in order to meet the requirement of managing HORMONIZACIÓN OF TRANSGENDER. In the context of the above it is concluded:
1. If it is a public health problem which a person self-medicate with substances and delicate use strict medical supervision because of the risks posed by the adverse effects that these drugs have, indeed with high doses required.

2. No country exists in the protocol or guide a duly approved by the Ministry of Health to proceed with the HORMONIZACION, which also serves as legal support in case of an adverse reaction.

3. Most of the necessary medication is not on the National Drug TABLE BASIC, which hinder their prescription, it is not policy of the Ministry of Public Health to refer patients to buy medicine.
