Los grupos GLBTI, encabezados por Silueta X, presentaron el proyecto “Comité de vigilancia ciudadana GLBTI en justicia y DD.HH.”.

La investigación está dirigida a operadores de justicia, comunidad GLBTI y a la sociedad en general, y se realiza  con el objetivo de exponer el  acceso de estos grupos a la  justicia.

Diane Rodríguez, presidenta de la Asociación Silueta X, afirmó que para realizar el proyecto se recogió información sobre 84 denuncias presentadas en la Fiscalía, Defensoría del Pueblo y comisarías.

“Todos los casos son sobre afectación a los derechos humanos, que incluyen asesinatos, maltratos, falta de acceso a la salud y educación”, explicó.

A pesar de que el universo de la muestra lo constituye la provincia del Guayas, en el proyecto también se incluyen casos que ocurrieron a nivel nacional.

La investigación  cuenta con el apoyo de instituciones como la Defensoría del Pueblo, la Fiscalía General del Estado, la Fiscalía del Guayas, la Intendencia de Policía y la organización Fortalecimiento de la Justicia.

Karina Cedeño, abogada coordinadora del proyecto, afirma que la finalidad es que las personas  conozcan los temas que se están tratando y que se desarrolle una sensibilización en la sociedad.

La indagación empezó en junio y actualmente se encuentra en proceso de análisis y obtención de resultados, los mismos que serán presentados en el mes de noviembre.

GLBTI groups, led by Silueta X, presented the project «GLBTI citizen oversight committee on justice and Human Rights.»

Although the sample universe it is the province of Guayas, the project also included cases occurring nationwide.

The research has the support of institutions such as the Ombudsman, the Attorney General, the Office of Guayas, the Administration Police and Justice Strengthening organization.

Karina Cedeño, lawyer project coordinator, says the aim is to make people aware of the issues being addressed and to develop an awareness in society.

The inquiry began in June and is currently in the process of analysis and obtaining results, which will be presented in November.
