Grupo investiga estado de los derechos GLBTI

Con la finalidad de tener datos cuantitativos de la realidad de la comunidad GLBTI (Gays, Lesbianas, Bisexuales, Transexuales e Intersexo), la Asociación Silueta X presentó ayer un proyecto de investigación sobre el estado de justicia y derechos humanos en Ecuador.

Diane Rodríguez, presidenta de la agrupación, explicó que el trabajo recoge 84 casos que cuentan desde el maltrato en los hogares y acoso hasta la muerte de personas.

La investigación busca exponer cuál es el estado del acceso a la justicia y derechos humanos para este sector de la comunidad, para ello se recogieron denuncias presentadas en la Fiscalía, Defensoría del Pueblo y comisarías.

Rodríguez espera que una vez que se tengan los resultados, los cuales se darán a conocer en noviembre, este estudio permita visibilizar ciertas problemáticas de esa comunidad.

Entre ellas la poca información que existe para que un afectado ponga una denuncia en la Fiscalía.

“Con la investigación realizada hemos podido conocer que los mismos afectados tienen que buscar sus carpetas para ver cómo va su proceso, no hay colaboración ni orientación para iniciar una denuncia”, expresó la activista.

Agregó que no buscan polemizar con ninguno de los administradores de justicia, sino que lo que pretenden es que haya igualdad en el trato. Y además que existan datos estadísticos que permitan conocer y mejorar la situación de discriminación que viven los grupos GLBTI.

Group investigates GLBTI rights status.

In order to have quantitative data on the reality of the community GLBTI (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex) Silueta X Association today presented a research project on the state of justice and human rights in Ecuador.

Diane Rodriguez, president of the group, explained that the work they have collected 84 cases from the abuse in homes and bullying to death of people.

Among these the little information that exists for a concerned bring a complaint with the Attorney.

«With the research we have known that they affected have to search your folders to see how your process, no collaboration or guidance to initiate a complaint,» said the activist.

He added that seek not argue with any of the administrators of justice, but what I want is to secure equality of treatment. And there are statistics that reveal and improve the situation of discrimination experienced by LGBTI groups.
